Archive for December, 2010Snowboarding season is here and everyone is heading out to the slopes. If you’re an avid boarder or ski bunny then this might slow you down a bit. Highway 330 to get into the San Bernardino Mountains closed down after the big storm caused a huge sinkhole in the road. It caved in about a week ago at the 35 mile marker. Highway 330 is the main road to Big Bear, Arrowhead and Running Springs. You can still take a longer detour around from Highway 38. Amazing isnt it? Luckily no one was hurt. Do you think energy drinks should be in the same category as alcohol and cigarettes? This is what legislater, Lynne Nowick is proposing under a new bill in Suffolk County, New York. They want to ban energy drinks with more than 80 mg of caffeine to people under 19 years of age. So you can pretty much buy a pack of cigarettes before you can buy an energy drink. Seem really ridiculous to me and im guessing this is rolling over from the Four Lokos ban. Before we ban energy drinks with too much caffeine, why can’t we ban fast foods first? We are an increasingly obese country compared to most in the world now but our legislator is more concerned about caffeine. Give us you opinions.
