Time magazine has released the 50 best inventions of 2009. From $10 million dollar eyes to $20 knees, every year, entrepreneurs never cease to amaze us with new handy technology. There was one in particular that caught our eye here at Tomic: The Human Powered Vending Machine. The inventor, Pep Torres, a Barcelona native says, “attach a stationary bicycle to a vending machine so a customer who wants a product would have to pedal a certain distance to get it. We’d like to see it in subway stations and schools,” he says. “That way, people can eat their potato chips and still get in shape.”
