Eggos first hit the shelves in 1960, the following grew fast in the following years. The famous slogan “Leggo my Eggo” started in 1972. For years, Eggos have been a staple for busy families and college students looking for a fast breakfast alternative. This week on twitter, shortage of Eggos blew up the tweets, everyone asking what happened?!

The company’s Atlanta plant was shut down for awhile by a September storm that dumped massive amounts of rain in the area. Meanwhile, production lines at its largest bakery in Rossville, Tenn., are closed for repairs.

When will they be back? Kellogg says the middle of summer 2010, store shelves should be restocked to its normal capacity! So if you’re an Eggo fanatic, go stock up now!

Costco dropkicks Coca Cola

Ouch!

The major food wholesale distributor, Costco, has just stopped restocking Coca Cola products in all of its stores. As we all know, Coca Cola is a HUGE company. Heres some of the things Costco has stopped restocking: Coke Classic, Cherry Coke, Black Cherry Vanilla Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite and Squirt, Dasani Water and Vitamin Water along with several energy drinks.

Coca Cola has declined to comment about the incident but the word on the street is, Coca Cola raised its wholesale prices. Costco has definitely put its foot down and said no thanks, to Coca Cola!

Maybe its time to put Tomic in Costco? Who knows!?
